Bathurst Digital Photo Store is part of the Eastmon group that commenced business back in 1961 in a small backyard shed. With limited to no processing equipment for the small operator, the founder Howard Eastwood constructed his first processing machine in 1973. Three hour processing was introduced in the first retail Minilab in 1977, the first of its concept in Australia.
From the early times Eastmon went on to be the largest privately owned photographic group in Australia and was the winner of the inaugural Kodak Quality Award.
In 2005 the Eastmon group have been in the digital game for some 5 years with digital processing and self-serve digital printing whilst still maintaining film developing and printing.
Eastmon was also the first digitally linked retail group in the world.
